Laboratory Instruments, Apparatus, Supplies

Most science and engineering involves a large stock of ready-to-use stuff. The electrician has voltmeters, the chemist has test tubes, the machinist has lathes, drills, and milling machines; and metal stock to use them on. Therefore, any collection devoted to science needs laboratory supplies to give context; and since we're chiefly devoted to electrical science, we go into more detail with the electrical bits'n'pieces.
