LEGO Robotics Team
The Bakken Museum´s LEGO Robotics Team gives kids ages 9 through 14 the opportunity to embark on an adventurous challenge to build and program LEGO robots to complete a series of tasks based on current, real world issues. Participants discover the link between science, resources, people and communities; unearth how scientists develop new technologies, especially with transportation; and dig into questions surrounding current and future climatic conditions. As a team, participants work toward presenting their robot design, programming and research at a fun final competition with other Minnesota teams. No prior experience with robots or computer programming needed! Teams meet Saturdays, with open workshops on Thursdays during September, October and November and participated in final competitions in November (exact date to be announced).
