The Bakken Museum inspires a passion for innovation by exploring the potential for science, technology, and the humanities to make the world a better place.
Visit the museum for an in-depth exploration of science, technology, engineering, art and math topics with hands-on activities and partner demonstrations!
Join us Saturday, December 3rd as we "crack the code" and explore the "M" in STEM with some exciting hands-on coding activities!
You don't need to be a math genius to learn how to code, in fact learning programming skills can help kids develop stronger math skills by applying concepts in real-world applications.
We will have activities from CoderDojoTC, a co-ed coding club in the Twin Cities, a look at what makes Oscar the Robot tick, demos of the TI LaunchPad Board used by real engineers in the field, an Arduino Workshop and more!
Discovery Day activities run from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm and are included in the cost of admission. Members get in FREE!
