Join us Sundays in the workshop for a new one day program for aspiring makers and inventors. Practice and improve your maker skills while working on a one day project. Each week we will have a challenge, construction, coding, or circuit project kit for you to build and take home. 

Skill Builder sessions occur most Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., check out our current offerings below!


Marble Machines

Build a 2’ x 2’ wooden marble run frame and track. We will provide the materials for frame, base, track, and dowels. Learn how to read a blueprint, practice using hand and electric saws.


This 1 day, 3 hour workshop will be held on:

  • October 15th
  • November 12th
  • December 10th
  • December 27th


Recommended for ages 10 and up. This is great family project!



Learn how to solder by assembling a circuit board. Learn about circuit components, reading a circuit diagram, and practice the art of soldering electronic components to a circuit board.


This 1 day, 3 hour workshop will be held on:

  • October 22nd
  • November 19th
  • December 17th
  • December 26th
  • December 30th & 31st


Recommended for ages 8 and up. 



Learn the basics of programming by illuminating a ring of lights that can be any color, then program interesting patterns and create your own custom light show!


This 1 day, 3 hour workshop will be held on:

  • October 1st
  • December 28th


Recommended for ages 10 and up. A great team project!


Bing, Bang, Boing

Build your own musical trampoline marble game and explore the wild world of engineering and physics. Cut the tubes to different lengths, glue dowels together to build ramps that make rad sounds without driving your neighbors and pets crazy!


This 1 day, 3 hour workshop will be held on:

  • October 8th
  • November 5th
  • December 3rd
  • December 29th


Recommended for ages 8 and up.



Each kit above has a recommended minimum age, that is the youngest age students may attend a workshop on their own. Younger students may participate when accompanied by a parent with instructor approval.

Adults do not need to be accompanied by a child in order to make something awesome in our makerspace!




SIX KITS: $150

This fee covers one kit of materials and 3 hours of instruction / build time in our makerspace. Kits can be completed by individuals or in teams of up to two people.
