The Bakken Museum inspires a passion for innovation by exploring the potential for science, technology, and the humanities to make the world a better place.
Stop by anytime between 11am and 4pm on Saturday, June 18th for family friendly activities about wearable technology!
The Bakken Museum and Seagate Technology are hosting a party in the Volta classroom! We will have 8 different computer based activities and demonstrations. Come see what is new and exciting in the world of virtual reality, wearable technology, and digital technology. Our event sponsor Seagate, will help us explore digital language and devices using hands-on experiments and demonstrations. ImmerGen Studios will present a virtual reality experience crafted specially for The Bakken and Discovery Day that will be used with a brand new Oculus immersive computer. Visual has created a 360 degree video from around Minnesota that you can view using you very own smartphone. Kristin Durviage, a well-known tech clothing designer in the Twin Cities, will show us how she designs clothing with LED’s that display text messages sent by visitors. It promises to be a very eventful day all about the future of technology!
The more you explore, the more you’ll discover!
