Tinkering After Dark: Robot Date Night

Plan a unique date night at The Bakken Museum! Bring a partner (romantic or otherwise) to build and customize a robot pet in our makerspace. Step-by-step instructions will be provided along with expert advice from our educators. Robot kit choices include an ostrich, tiger, or kangaroo.

TICKETS: $45, $40 for museum members.

Space is limited to 15 pairs of two. This event is intended for individuals ages 18+.

All vaccine-eligible guests must provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours in order to attend this event. Masks are required inside of the museum regardless of vaccination status. Thank you in advance for helping to keep fellow attendees and staff safe!

Each ticket includes registration for two participants and your choice of one robot kit.

VACCINE AND MASK REQUIREMENT 

The health and wellness of our visitors and staff is a top priority at The Bakken Museum. The museum is taking the following steps to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

Until further notice, all vaccine-eligible guests ages 5 and older are required to provide proof of full vaccination in order to attend public events hosted by the museum. 

A guest is considered fully vaccinated with a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO) authorized vaccine, meaning their last dose must have been administered at least 14 days before attending the event.  

Proof of vaccination must include the name of the person vaccinated, type of vaccine and date of the last dose administered. Self-reported vaccination records not verified by a third-party health care provider will not be accepted.  

Acceptable proof of vaccination forms include:  

  • Physical vaccination card  

  • Photograph of vaccination card stored on electronic device  

  • Digital record in Minnesota State-approved Docket app or in the Clear app.  

A matching photo ID is required with a valid ticket for the event.

Guests ages 5 and over who cannot be vaccinated due to a medical condition must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to the event. Proof must include the name of the person tested, type of test performed and date of negative test result.   

Self-reported negative test records not verified by a third-party health care provider will not be accepted.

In addition to vaccine requirements, all guests over age two are required to wear a face-covering over their mouth and nose while in the museum.
