GSK Science in the Summer™, a free summer STEM program designed to inspire the future generation of scientists and engineers, returns this summer with a new theme: Be a Space Scientist! Led by The Franklin Institute, the national network this year will reach an estimated 23,400 youth in grades 2 through 6 through partnerships with 290 community-based youth-serving organizations nationwide.

The Bakken Museum is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed its participation in the 2022 Museum Assessment Program. Offered through a cooperative agreement between the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the program is widely considered the first step in becoming a fully accredited cultural institution.

As I continue to learn, listen, and connect to the museum's mission and work, it's a privilege to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on this quirky, unique, impactful, and inspiring place.
