About the Vikings Table

The Minnesota Vikings Foundation and Xcel Energy are proud to present Vikings Table, a food truck program with the mission of serving healthy meals and nutrition education to youth across the Greater Twin Cities area. This new and important program is part of the Foundation's greater mission to advance the well-being of youth through engaging health and education initiatives.

Approximately 250,000 children in our communities are missing meals during summer months. Additionally, this generation is the first in history tracking to have a shorter life expectancy than its parent generation due to physical inactivity and poor nutrition. The Minnesota Vikings Foundation sees Vikings Table as a unique way to use the Vikings brand to directly address the issue of childhood hunger in our community.

The Minnesota Vikings Foundation has been committed to combatting food insecurity since launching the Vikings Table food truck program in 2019. As our community perseveres through COVID-19 and through the recent tragedies, our Foundation and food truck have stepped up our support of racial equity and social justice. The Vikings Table has increased distribution of free, healthy meals to disproportionately impacted communities. Since March 30, more than 10,000 free meals have been delivered through the Vikings Table program in partnership with nonprofits who serve youth and families in need. We are proud to be members of this community, and our commitment to ensuring everyone has a seat at our family table will remain steadfast.
