Red Lake Elementary School students to take on the role of engineers during summer programming provided by The Bakken Museum
For the fourth year, The Bakken Museum is partnering with Red Lake School District to provide students with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning experiences during the summer break. The museum will provide approximately 230 students with in-person and livestreaming engineering curriculum.

This comic music-theatre contraption will have it all — including a trio of musical lumberjacks, a bouncing ice ball, and eight indie theatre superstars!

The Bakken Museum is offering in-person support for families with students enrolled in distance learning. In response to COVID-19, The Bakken Museum’s education and outreach teams have pivoted their focus to offer digital education and increased safety precautions for in-person programs.
Rightfully Hers at The Bakken Museum
Today, The Bakken Museum began hosting a new pop-up exhibition from the National Archives, Rightfully Hers, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Rightfully Hers contains simple messages exploring the history of the ratification of the 19th amendment, women’s voting rights before and after the 19th, and its impact today.
The Bakken Museum’s Renovated Spaces Open to The Public July 16
After seven months of construction, The Bakken Museum will open newly renovated spaces to the public on Thursday, July 16. The renovation is the museum’s first since a 12,000 square foot addition was added in 1998.
