The Bakken Museum’s Bakkenalia 21+ event series returns June 16
On Thursday, June 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Bakken Museum is bringing back its popular evening event series, Bakkenalia. Adults over the age of 21 are invited to the museum to grab a drink, explore exhibits, and try hands-on experiments about the science of color.
The Bakken Museum, Form5 hosting prosthetics workshop for high school students
This weekend, The Bakken Museum and Form5 Prosthetics will host a prosthetics design workshop for high school students. From Friday, May 27 through Sunday, May 29, 15 students from Twin Cities area high schools will gather at the museum to solve real-world problems by modifying existing prosthetic devices.
The Bakken Museum is a 2022 Blue Star Museum
The Bakken Museum announced it will join museums nationwide in the Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently-serving U.S. military personnel and their families this summer.

Today, The Bakken Museum announced their summer rooftop event series. The museum has partnered with local theatres and musicians to offer live outdoor performances on its green roof.
Red Lake Elementary School students to take on the role of engineers during summer programming provided by The Bakken Museum
For the fourth year, The Bakken Museum is partnering with Red Lake School District to provide students with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning experiences during the summer break. The museum will provide approximately 230 students with in-person and livestreaming engineering curriculum.
The Bakken Museum, Open Eye Theatre Partner for Live Outdoor Theatre Performances
The Bakken Museum and Open Eye Theatre announce the return of live theatre season with LOG JAM! A Paul Bunyan Musical Spectacular on The Bakken Museum’s spacious green roof. This comic music-theatre contraption will have it all — including a trio of musical lumberjacks, a bouncing ice ball, and eight indie theatre superstars!
The Bakken Museum Supporting Distance Learners with In-Person Program
The Bakken Museum is offering in-person support for families with students enrolled in distance learning. In response to COVID-19, The Bakken Museum’s education and outreach teams have pivoted their focus to offer digital education and increased safety precautions for in-person programs.
